How to view and download Ledger Statements?

Ledger statements provide a detailed overview of all transactions, balances, and account activity for a specific period. They allow you to track transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial reports with ease.

Additionally, you can share them with clients or vendors to clarify payment histories, resolve disputes, or provide a comprehensive summary of transactions for a given timeframe.

Let's see how you can view, download, and share auto-generated ledger statements from Refrens.

Navigating to Ledger Statements



Go to Advanced Accounting > Charts of Accounts > Select the account you wish to view under the “ Accounts ” section:


Once selected, you will be redirected to the Dashboard Page of the chosen account:


Click on “View Statement” to access the ledger statement for the account. Here's how it will look:


Applying Custom Date Filters




You can use custom date filters to view the ledger statement for:

A specific financial year.
Any specific period within a financial year.

Viewing The Summary




The Summary View provides a quick snapshot of:

Opening Balance: The account’s balance at the start of the selected period.

Closing Balance: The account’s balance at the end of the selected period.

The Detailed Ledger Statement




The Ledger Statement provides a comprehensive list of all transactions within the selected date range. For each transaction, you’ll see:

Transaction Date: The date the transaction occurred.

Transaction Type: The nature of the transaction (e.g., payment, invoice, etc.).

Remarks: Additional details such as document numbers linked to the transaction.

Credit/Debit Amount: The amount credited or debited.

Balance: The account balance after each transaction.

Download Options (PDF/CSV)



You can download the ledger statement as a PDF or CSV file for easy sharing or record-keeping:

The Ledger Statement PDF contains all the necessary details, formatted professionally for external sharing.

Sample CSV:




The CSV file provides the raw transaction data in a spreadsheet format ideal for further analysis of transactions.
