Shopify Integration: Configuring Taxes for Your Shopify Store

If you have integrated the Refrens App with your Shopify store and have questions about tax configurations, this article is for you.

Including/Excluding Tax in Product Price and Shipping Rates

If you want to include/exclude taxes in the product price and shipping rates, go to your Shopify Dashboard > Settings > Taxes and Duties:

At the bottom of the "Taxes and Duties" page, under the "Global Settings", you will see a checkbox option called "Include sales tax in product price and shipping rate":

You can check/uncheck the checkbox to control if the taxes are inclusive/exclusive of the product price.

Setting Base Taxes (and Overriding them)

If you want to set base taxes for different regions, go to Taxes and duties > Tax Regions > select the region for which you want to set the taxes:

Once you select a tax region, you can edit the tax rate at country and state level:

If you want to override base taxes for a specific collection of products in a particular region, you can do so from the "Product Overrides" section:
