How to View the Batch-Wise Expiry Report?
What is a Batch-Wise Expiry Report?
The Batch-Wise Expiry Report allows you to efficiently track and manage stock nearing its expiry date. It provides detailed insights at the batch level, helping you identify expiring and expired items within specific time frames. This ensures that you can take timely actions to reduce waste and maintain optimal inventory levels.
To view your batch-wise expiry report, go to Inventory Dashboard > “Reports and More” dropdown > Batch-wise Expiry Report:
Understanding the Batch-Wise Expiry Report
Here’s a breakdown of the report sections:
1. Warehouse Filter:
By default, the report shows the expiry of all the batches across all Warehouses. If you have enabled Warehouses in your inventory, you can use the Warehouse filter to view batch expiry details in a specific Warehouse.
Columns and Data Breakdown:
- Item Name and SKU ID
View the name and SKU ID of each item in your inventory.
- Stock in Hand
Displays the total quantity of stock currently available.
- Expired
Shows the quantity of stock that has already expired.
- Expiring in 0 to X Days
Track items that will expire in different time frames, such as: 0-15 days, 16-30 days.
Each time frame is broken down into:
- Qty (% in total): The total quantity of stock expiring in that time frame, presented in both absolute numbers and percentage format.
- Value: The monetary value of the stock expiring in the selected time frame.
- Expired in 0 to X Days Monitor stock that has already expired within multiple time frames, such as 0-15 days16-30 days.
Similar to expiring stock, this section includes:
- Qty (% in total): The expired quantity in that specific time frame, presented in both absolute and percentage terms.
- Value: The monetary value of the expired stock in each time frame.
Viewing Detailed Batch-Level Data:
To get a deeper look at the batches that are expiring/expired, click on the quantity for any given time frame.
This will open a detailed modal displaying batch-specific information, helping you manage stock more effectively:
Here, you can view detailed information for the expiring stock in the respective time frame, including the batch details, exact expiry date, cost price, warehouse, and more.
