How to Set and Use Client Currency in Refrens?

Client Currency lets you save the usual billing currency for each client or vendor.

Refrens uses this preference to pre-fill the currency when you create new documents, helping reduce manual changes and currency selection errors.

How to Set Client Currency

You can set Client Currency while adding a new client or vendor, or update it for an existing one.

For a new client or vendor:

  1. Go to the Clients or Vendors section.
  2. Click Add Client or Add Vendor.
  3. Enter the required details, including the country.
  4. Find the Client Currency field.
  5. Refrens pre-fills the currency based on the selected country.
  6. If required, select a different currency from the available options.
  7. Save the client or vendor.

For an existing client or vendor:

  1. Open the client or vendor record you want to update.
  2. Click the edit option.
  3. Find the Client Currency field.
  4. Select the required currency.
  5. Save your changes.

How Client Currency Works When Creating Documents

When you create a new document for a client or vendor with Client Currency configured, Refrens automatically pre-fills the document's currency using that preference.

Follow these steps:

  1. Create a new document, such as an invoice.
  2. Select the client or vendor.
  3. Check the Document Currency field.
  4. Refrens pre-fills the currency using the selected client's Client Currency.
  5. Continue creating the document and save it when ready.
