How to Add Opening Balances for Existing Client/Vendor Accounts in Refrens

If you have already added your clients or vendors on Refrens and want to record their outstanding balances, you can easily do so by adding an opening balance to their existing account.


This ensures that any amount your client owes you, or any amount you owe your vendor, is accurately reflected in Refrens — so your ledgers/statements, outstanding reports, and overall books remain accurate and up to date.


Steps to Add Opening Balances


  1. Navigate to Left MenuAccountingChart of Accounts


  1. Search for the desired Client/Vendor using the Account column filter option.




  1. Click on Edit AccountAdd Opening Balance → then click the Submit button.




That's it! The opening balance has been successfully added to your Client/Vendor Account.
