How to do Batch-wise Inventory tracking?
Whether you're dealing with items that have limited shelf life or if you need better traceability and control over your stock, Batch-wise Tracking helps you do it with ease.
Let's see how:
While adding new items, you will see an option called “Tracking Method” under the “Stock Management” section:

You have four options: No tracking, Batch-wise tracking, Serial No. wise tracking, and Batch+Serial No. wise tracking.
When you select Batch-wise Tracking, you will see an option to create a new Batch:

Click on “Create Batch” to fill up the Batch details:

You can add Batch, Pricing, Stock, Manufacturing Date, Expiry Date, etc., from here.
Only the Batch Name and Batch Code must be filled out; the rest of the fields are optional as per your business requirement.
Once a Batch is added, you will see the Batch-wise stock detail:

You can add more such batches by clicking on the “Add Batch” option.
To view or edit Batch details and Batch-wise transactions, go to your Inventory Dashboard > Inventory Table> View:

Go to the “Batches” tab to view/edit batch details, and the “Transactions” tab to view Batch-wise transactions:

While adding line items in invoices, proforma, and other documents, you will see an option to “**Add Batches**’ for the items where Batch-wise tracking is enabled:

Click on “Add Batches” to add Batch and Warehouse details of the item being transacted:

As you see above, you can add multiple Batches, and for each Batch, you can select multiple Warehouses.
Similarly, every time an item is transacted via adjustments, transfer, or any other means, you will have to specify the Batch details as well (for items where Batch-wise tracking is enabled).
