Configuring When Batch Details Are Required in Documents

Batch details are essential for tracking inventory and maintaining product traceability.


However, not every business process needs batch details at every document stage.


For example, you may want to create a Purchase Order quickly without specifying batch numbers right away, but ensure that batch details are captured later when receiving the goods.


By configuring batch requirements for each document type, you can ensure a smoother workflow that matches your operational needs.


How to set this?


Go to **Business Settings > Inventory > Inventory Configuration > “Keep Batch Allocations Optional on Documents”. **


Just choose when batch details should be required for documents - Block, Ignore, or Both.
