# How to Show the Applied Exchange Rate on Your Documents?

When you create a document in a foreign currency, Refrens uses an exchange rate to calculate the amounts.

By default, the applied exchange rate is not shown to your clients on the shared document or PDF.

With **Show Applied Exchange Rate**, you can display the exchange rate directly on your document.

This makes it easier for your clients to understand how the foreign-currency amount was calculated.

For example:
**1 USD = 95.911 INR**

* Purchase Orders
* Credit Notes
* Debit Notes

If the document is created in your **business's own currency**, there is no exchange rate to display.
